Tournament: Management Mode

Management mode tournaments represent one multiplayer competitive element of the game. They are played as events, where players can enter their cars (and team) and compete with other players.

The mechanics are to enter the best possible combination for a given track & challenge.

Event composition

A Management mode tournament event will be anounced with the following key information:

  • Rally name

  • Rally „country“

  • Type of track/surface/weather

  • Most needed parameters

  • Available classes

  • Available single sub-events

  • Main event

The event will always have a main event (where players will be able to enter if they meet the prerequisite condition (car class, level, etc...), which will represent a series of stages and will offer the highest prizes

Events will always instance players into groups of 10-16 competitors, filling these and starting a new group immediately after one is full

Sub-events represent quick-stages which are instantly played when the group is filled

A Management mode tournament events works in the follwoing way:

There is an imaginary track/circuit, consisting of many components.

A component represents a section of the track (straight, turn, jump, etc...)

Each component has it´s „challenge“ – parameters which are compared to the cars parameters.

The cars in a group start and pass components one-by-one. Each car is challenged (its Parameters, with the technical value being relevant here) and a time is determined for the component. This simulates the cars passing sections of track. As the track goes on, times get added, gaps form between cars & the race is on.

This simulates a rally-style experience with real-time tracktime tickers. Car abilities need to be well matched against the given track. A car good on one track may be just average on another.
